Cinnamon Baked French Toast - Grain Free

Ingredients

  • 2 loaves grain free french bread
  • 8 large eggs, organic free range
  • 1 c. dairy free milk (coconut milk or oat milk)
  • 1/2 c. coconut sugar or maple sugar base layer
  • 1 T. ground organic cinnamon base layer
  • 1/4 c. salted organic butter base layer
  • 1/4 c. maple syrup
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 c. salted organic butter melted

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9" x 13' baking dish with coconut oil  Set aside.

  2. Melt 1/4 c. butter. Add in cinnamon and maple sugar.  Stir and pour onto the bottom of the greased baking dish.

  3. On a large cutting board, slice the grain free baguette into 1"slices.  

  4. Place 12-15 slices to the bottom of the dish on top of cinnamon mixture.  

  5. In a blender, add 1/4 c. melted butter, coconut milk, maple syrup, and vanilla. Blend and pour over the slices.  Add a second layer; 9-12 slices.  I like to flip them over so that both sides have egg mixture on them.  Sprinkle the top with cinnamon and coconut sugar mixture.  

  6. Refrigerate for 4-8 hours.  

  7. Preheat the oven to 350°.  Remove the french toast from the refrigerator while the oven to preheating.  

  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes.  Serve warm with maple syrup.
